As we pack our bags for next week’s Lunch & Learn in Paris, the first event of our 2025 conference season, it feels like the right time to pause, reflect, and (yes) catch our breath after an extraordinary year. 2024 took us across the globe to some of the most prestigious construction and legal events, from Miami to Dubai, giving us countless moments of inspiration, connection, and, admittedly, a few exhausted airport naps.
The life of a conference-goer isn’t all glamorous meet-and-greets or polished presentations. It’s the early flights, late-night email marathons, booth installation mishaps, and the challenge of absorbing every brilliant idea while mentally planning where to take our R&D next. But for us at LUPA, it’s also gratifying. These events are where the sparks fly, new partnerships form, bold ideas are exchanged, and we learn how to serve our clients better.
2024: A Year of Learning, Sharing, and Growing
Last year was a whirlwind, but in the best way possible. We found ourselves at industry-defining events like the FIDIC International Contract Users’ Conference in London, where Vladimir, our CEO, joined a dynamic panel on AI in Procurement and Contracting, diving into how AI is transforming data into actionable insights. At the Big 5 Global in Dubai, Vladimir and Peter Banathy from Diales shared the stage for a fireside chat that left the audience buzzing about proactive data strategies.

We didn’t stop there.
At the Society of Construction Law (SCL) Türkiye Annual Conference, we engaged with brilliant minds on how technology can mitigate risks.
The Construction Super Conference (CSC) in Las Vegas was a whirlwind of innovation, where we connected with forward-thinking leaders.
The Project Controls Expo UK (PCE UK) gave us valuable discussions around project data control and AI-driven analytics.
Set in the heart of Riyadh, the Construction Technology ConFex and Awards 2024 was a powerhouse event driving the conversation around Saudi Vision 2030. Vlad delivered an impactful talk, connecting with key decision-makers, generating valuable leads, and showcasing how LUPA’s data-driven solutions align with the Kingdom’s ambitious transformation goals for 2030.
Under the vibrant skies of Miami, the ICC Conference brought together global leaders to tackle the complexities of international arbitration. we explored groundbreaking discussions on cross-border disputes and how data-driven insights can revolutionize international arbitration strategies.
Amid all this, we also took a moment to create our events: two Lunch & Learns, one in London and one in New York City. These gatherings were smaller, more personal, and exactly what we needed to step back and connect deeply with the people driving change in the construction industry.
AI: The Buzzword That’s Delivering
If there was one theme that ran through every conversation, every panel, and every coffee-fueled debate, it was this: AI isn’t just the future – it’s here, and it’s solving the problems that have plagued the construction industry for decades.
Think about it. Massive datasets. Disconnected systems. Endless hours spent searching for information or manually compiling reports. AI has become the toolkit we didn’t know we desperately needed. Whether it’s through Semantic Search, Drawing Analytics, or our very own AI Reporting, we’re seeing real change.
And let’s not forget: AI tools aren’t just about efficiency. They’re about helping teams find clarity amidst chaos, focus on strategy instead of admin, and ultimately, make better decisions. At every event, the feedback was clear: the industry needs tools that don’t just handle complexity—they simplify it.
The Real Work Behind the Scenes
Here’s something most people don’t see: while the stages and booths might shine, it’s the in-between moments where the magic happens. It’s hearing a clever idea over a cup of coffee and scribbling it down to share with our R&D team later. It’s being inspired by someone else’s challenge and thinking, “How can we help solve that?”
Sure, the constant travel can be exhausting. And yes, we’ve all had that moment of panic when the Wi-Fi on a long flight cuts out, and five emails are waiting for responses. But every long day spent at a conference is worth it when we leave with not just new connections, but fresh insights that shape the next iteration of LUPA.
Looking Ahead: 2025 and Beyond
As we dive into 2025, we’re carrying all the lessons of last year with us. We’ve learned that the construction industry isn’t just ready for AI – it’s hungry for it. We’ve seen how much value we can bring to a world overwhelmed by data. And most importantly, we’ve realized that while technology can drive change, it’s the people – the thinkers, the doers, the problem-solvers who truly make it happen.
So, here’s to a new year of conversations, challenges, and breakthroughs. To everyone we met in 2024, thank you for being part of our journey. And to those we’ll see in 2025 – starting next week in Paris – let’s make it a year to remember.
Join us as we continue building the future of construction, one insight at a time.
